My wife was suspicious for a pool leak over several weeks. After conducting the bucket in the pool test and taking timed pictures, we and our pool attendant were convinced that indeed there was a leak and not just evaporation due to a prolonged lack of rain in Emerald Isle. Our pool attendant Sean Schmucker reached out to Leak Locator’s whom he has used regularly. They were quick to respond and after pressure test evaluation in our return ports, agreed that a leak was indeed present. Upon return they used ultrasound to help locate the leak, but it was a bit more complicated due to the significance of the Leak found as shown below. Apparently a pool installer in Emerald Isle regularly used flex pipe rather than PVC for a return drains as this has been a common finding for them in our area. Additionally, The flex pipe used was not three feet down Per code to protect it from freezing during the winter; And as we know this past winter was a winter! Regardless, they found the leak, repaired it with PVC and placed a concrete cap which was leveled to our existing pool deck. We knew going in they would not be able to match our existing pool deck design. We are very pleased with their prompt attention and pricing. Suspect we will have to use them again in the future, as I believe the flex pipe leak issue will once again rear its head. But at least this time we know who to contact!

I'm very happy with our experience using Leak Locators. The pricing was reasonable, it was the same as the other leak company we called, but JR was much more responsive and was able to see us almost immediately. He did a full inspection and fixed the leak within an hour. He was very professional and we'd definitely use Leak Locators again if needed!

They tested and repaired Commercial and Residential Pools for our customers. Concrete, Fiberglass Pools. We and our customers are very pleased. In fact today I called to get 2 more quotes on Pools we service and within a hour I had the quotes to forward to the customers. I have also recommended them to customers who come in our store for water testing and to buy chemicals and they say thank you after the work is done. This company came highly recommended to me. I had a leak in my main water line outside of my home. There was a prompt response and despite their busy schedule I was able to get a next day appointment as they would be near my location. I was informed that they are located out of Wilmington but serviced my area as well as others, but do the commute it could affect my final bill balance. The price was reasonable and the two technicians who arrived were very professional, prompt, and courteous. The did not take long to locate the leak, took pictures and videos that they the emailed me so that the plumbing technician would have an idea of what they might be dealing with. The entire process was completed promptly. Once the leak was detected they kindly informed me that they were capable to fix the leak, but were unable to due to heavy scheduling. I was given enough information that I was confident enough to relay it to a plumber and know what type of work needed to be done as well as a time frame for how long a leak of that size could take to be fixed. I would use their services again as well as recommend them if asked for a reliable leak detection service.
